The Château de Pommard is three centuries old, founded by Vivant Micault, and has been owned by five families with a rich history; surviving the French Revolution and two World Wars. The estate is only three kilometers from Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, close to the center of the Côte d’Or. The estate is where architecture and winemaking meet in the midst of the vines.Their domain is biodynamically farmed with plans to be entirely biodynamic by the 2019 vintage. The decision to farm their grapes biodynamically after the 18th century estate was purchased by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Michael Baum and is part of a rising trend in the Burgundy wine region.
