Châlon-sur-SâoneFor the 2018 season, we were excited to debut a new itinerary with a renewed focus on the Saône River, a popular segment of our previous route. Our luxury barge cruise now travels from Auxonne to Châlon-sur-Saône, then to Chagny via the Canal du Centre. In addition to our modified route, we have added several new experiences to our itineraries!

We’re excited to continue our emphasis on France’s unparalleled cuisine with a new excursion for our guests. While we continue to offer lunch in Dijon during our walking tour, no culinary vacation in France would be complete without a visit to the Maison Lameloise, a Michelin-star restaurant in Chagny. This lunch is an incredible, authentic experience for our guests! Our meals on-board continue to be superb, with unique twists on French favorites — seared scallops, roasted duck breast, and Charolais beef continue to be served by our skilled in-house chef.

Clos de Vougeot and its historic château continues to be a hit with our guests. We also offer excursions to Château de Rully and Château de Pommard during the weeklong French barge vacation. We can also accommodate tours of other producers upon request; particular favorites include Château de Meursault, Chassagne Montrachet, and Givery-Chambertin.
