Sunday - Champagne Welcome
Travel: Paris to Seurre

14h00 Pick-Up in Paris and transfer to Barge mooring.
Our private driver meets you in Paris to drive you to the Grand Victoria, moored in Seurre. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our cheerful crew and experience our Grand Victoria welcome. While we get you checked in with a safety briefing and the crew take your luggage to your stateroom, you’ll have the chance to sit and relax with our signature champagne and canapé welcome before your first of many incredible dinners on board.


Monday - Wine tasting - Chateau de Pommard
Travel: Seurre - Chalon-sur-Saône

We start our week with breakfast on board while you enjoy your first barge cruise in France down one of the prettiest stretches of the Saône to the city of Chalon-sur-Saône. After lunch onboard we depart in the mini-bus for a visit to the famous Château de Pommard. At Château de Pommard, we’ll experience pairing of wine and food. Learn about the appellations, viticulture, and winemaking. From there, it’s back to our mooring in Chalon-sur-Saone for cocktails and dinner. Take an evening walking tour of Chalon-sur-Saône with its magnificent cathedral square and half timbered buildings.


Tuesday - Michelin Star - Abbaye St Philibert
Travel: Chalon-sur-Saône - Tournus

As the next part of your French wine and jazz cruise, we start our morning with a gentle slow cruise down to the medieval village of Tournus. Here we’ll disembark for a lovely lunch at a local Michelin Star restaurant. Built by the Romans and known for the sanctuary dedicated to Saint Valérien. In the 9th Century, when monks from Noirmoutier came to Tournus with relics of Saint Philibert. Tournus became an important religious town and between the 11th and 13th Century, these monks built the superb Abbey which we’ll take a walking tour of. Tournus is a fantastic mooring to walk or bike ride along the Saône, or wander through the old roman and medieval streets.


Wednesday - Market Day & Pouilly Fuisse
Travel: Tournus - Macon

It’s an early start this morning to visit an authentic French street market in Burgundy. Here we’ll wander the village streets and market stalls, before heading back for a delightful al-fresco lunch onboard and a scenic afternoon's cruise along the Saône to Mâcon. In the afternoon we’ll visit Solutré, a typical village of the Mâconnais region. Here we’ll do a Co-Op wine tasting of the wines of Pouilly Fuisse before heading back for cocktails and dinner.


Thursday - Chateau Fléchères
Travel: Macon - Villefranche-sur-Saône - Trevoux

In the morning, we take a gentle cruise down to Villefranche Here we’ll visit the impressive Chateau Fléchères. Built in one go from 1606 to 1625 and preserved intact, it offers an exceptional picture of the life of the grandees of Lyon in the 17th century. After returning to the boat, we’ll take a short late afternoon cocktail cruise to the quaint village of Trevoux.


Friday
Travel: Trevoux - Lyon

Enjoy an early breakfast cruise onboard before you spend the morning exploring the magnificent city of Lyon, France’s second largest city and gastronomic capital. Take a tour of the majestic Basilique de Fourviere that dominates the skyline of Lyon. Enjoy lunch at one of Lyon’s many bistros before exploring the magnificent shopping district. We return to the boat for dinner and drinks, and for the adventurous, we will visit a local Jazz club to close out our last evening together.


Saturday
Travel: Lyon - Paris

After breakfast disembark the barge for your onward travel arrangements.
